Screening of the Feature Film “Left Off the Lists” (2025)

The Russian Club of Wellington, with the support of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in New Zealand, invites you to a screening of “Left Off the Lists” — a new adaptation of Boris Vasilyev’s novella, created for the 80th anniversary of the WWII Victory.

The film takes viewers into the first hours of the Great Patriotic War and follows Lieutenant Nikolai Pluzhnikov, who arrives in Brest on 21 June 1941, unaware that peaceful life will end at dawn the next day. Before he can assume his post or even be entered into the personnel lists, he witnesses a sudden artillery strike and joins the battle that will determine his fate.

The film combines historical accuracy, psychological depth, and a respectful tribute to the defenders of the Brest Fortress.

The film is shown in Russian with English subtitles.
