Welcome to the fifteenth Russian Cultural Festival. Every year we meet together at
the Annual Russian Cultural Festival and it has become a tradition.
Wellington Russian Club organises this Festival in order to further acquaint you
with Russian traditional cuisine, folk song and dance.
Wellington Russian Club warmly invites you to experience the richness of Russian
and neighbouring cultures.
In the first and second parts of the program many performances from performers
from Auckland and Wellington are awaiting you.

14.50 – 15.50 Concert (Retro Dance Music Concert, Part 3)
16:00 Closing of the Russian Festival
Entrance Fee is $5.00 (free for children under 5 years old).
At the entrance you will be greeted by the folk music ensemble “Troika” (headed
by Alistair Kathil, Wellington).
In the first part of the performance we will present to you:
The dance group “Smuglyanka” (leader Alexandra Pavlyuk, Auckland);
Ballet teacher at EnPointe Dance Academy Alina Kulikova, Wellington;
Cossack Oleg Maximov, Auckland;
Singer and song writer Marina Bloom, Auckland.
In the second part you will enjoy:
Rock band Hit Pump, Auckland;
Musical ensemble of the Russian Orthodox Church (leader Father Alexei Popkov,
Wellington);
Dance group “Caleidoscop” (leader Galina Zhilina, Wellington.
In the third part of the program performers from the rhythmic gymnastics group (led by Sharon Duda, Wellington), and young star of the Royal New Zealand Ballet Shanwen Tan are awaiting you. In this part we will invite you to join us on the retro dance floor with the music band “Allies” (leader Vladimir Zvegintsev, Wellington).
This Folklore Festival brings together the many different cultures to enjoy and
share with you their traditional heritage.
Come and try a big variety of Russian traditional food. Enjoy richness of Russian
art and craft.
